Year 5 Residential: Snowdon, Cumbria

Location: Snowdon, Cumbria Duration: Summer (overnight stay- Friday-Saturday)

Exploring the Great Outdoors

For our Year 5 students, an adventure awaits in the breathtaking landscapes of Snowdon, Cumbria. This residential is more than just a geography field trip; it's an opportunity for our young explorers to immerse themselves in the wonders of mountains, rural life, and teamwork. Here's what they can look forward to:

• Conducting fieldwork in the mountainous terrain
• Discovering a rural lifestyle different from their own
• Hiking, mountain walking, gorge scrambling, and bushcraft
• Emphasis on teamwork skills and pushing personal boundaries
• Learning to prepare their own sandwiches for lunch

Building Character and Independence

Our Year 5 students stay in dormitories, fostering camaraderie and independence. They discover the joy of supporting one another, stepping out of their comfort zones, and taking responsibility for themselves. This residential is a journey of personal growth, where they learn to be resilient and self-reliant.

Year 6 Residential: Blackwell Adventure

Location: Blackwell Duration: 2.5 days-Monday-Wednesday

Thrilling Adventures Await

Year 6 pupils embark on a thrilling adventure at Blackwell Adventure. Located in a picturesque setting in Blackwell, they'll spend 2.5 days in eco huts and partake in a variety of exciting activities, including:

• Go-karting
• Sledging
• Crate stacking
• Abseiling
• Zip-lining
• Orienteering

Discovering Independence

The Year 6 residential is also about pushing boundaries, overcoming fears, and discovering their incredible capabilities. Through challenging activities and a strictly enforced no-mobile-phone policy, students develop self-reliance and resilience.

Safety and Payment

The safety and well-being of our students is paramount. All residentials are subject to a rigorous risk assessment procedure, and familiar teachers accompany the students. We offer our parents the convenience of paying for our heavily subsidised residentials in manageable installments through the ParentPay app.
