What we like:

We both like painting, singing, dancing and having lots of giggles! We really enjoy reading different stories about animals and plants. We enjoy giving out lots of rewards for children who are always trying their best.

This is what your new classroom looks like…

• In 1KB, you will be sitting in your table groups.
• We have a cosy reading corner where you can read all sorts of books!
• We have a sink area where you can wash your hands have a drink of water
• In 1KB, we will have a ‘Helper of the Day’ and ‘Star of the Week.’
• You will have your own peg to put your coat and bag.
• We have classroom monitors for jobs and responsibilities in our classroom
• Your classroom will always look tidy, and you will all help us keep that up!
• We have a special rocket where you will all start on green, however if you make a wrong choice you will have to move down the rocket to yellow, and if this carries on it will move onto red. You will miss 5 minutes of your breaktime.
• If you show me excellent listening and superb work, you will move onto the blue sticker and you will earn a sticker! If you work extremely hard, you will move to orange where you will take a badge home.

Some of the things we may do in our class:

In Year 1KB, we like try our hardest and attempt new challenges even when it might seem difficult. We need to make sure we are respectful to our everyone in our class, following instructions by showing good listening and following the Diamond Rules! You will also meet a furry friend called ‘Friendly Flamingo’ who will set you friendly tokens for you to carry out!

In Year 1KB, we have Writing, Phonics, Reading, Maths. Each week you will have PE, topic and Science.  Fridays are a very special day for us as we have Diamond Time that will be spent with Mrs O.
