Mrs BI - Majahid and the school council organised a cake sell that was held after school on Friday 18th November. Local supermarkets, parents and teachers had donated cakes, and our amazing school councillors helped to sell. Thank you everyone. We raised £186.00 for Children in Need.

Harvest Collection 2022

A big thankyou to our Nelson families who donated food to our collection this year. We recognise that at this present time, it is difficult for everyone to make ends meet. We asked whether you felt that the food should be available to our families or donated to the wider community via the Ladywood food bank.

The poll revealed that you would like to send it to the food bank, and because of your generosity, you will directly help a family in need.

Upcoming Sports Day- Thursday 7th July

Blackwell Residential Yr 5 2022

Our residential trip to Blackwell Adventure came to an end last week. The excited year 5 children left early on Monday 20th June and began a 4 night adventure which saw them sleeping in tents, and and spending the long warm days engaged in a fun packed timetable of activities designed to test their teamwork skills, social skills, stamina, strength and personal resilience. Last Friday, 23 tired and weary children returned home to their parents safe and sound. It was a brilliant week, with fantastic weather, and we are certain that they will remember their time at Blackwell for many years to come.

Thankyou to Mr Hargreaves, Miss Johal, Miss M Begum, Miss Richards and Miss Hoque for all volunteering to accompany the children to Blackwell with Mrs Dawes.

Our newest school project- The "Nelson Allotment" is starting to take shape!
