Year 2 Titanic Worshops

The workshops delivered by Freshwater Theatre on September 23rd seem to have been a valuable experience for the year 2 pupils. By focusing on the sinking of the Titanic, the workshops reinforced the children's understanding of the possible causes of the disaster, the roles of different individuals involved, and the human stories behind the black and white photographs.
The use of black and white filming was a clever way to highlight the timeless nature of human experiences, despite the technological advancements that have occurred since the Titanic sank. By connecting the past to the present, the workshops likely helped the children develop empathy and a deeper appreciation for history.
