Our 41st Issue: The L.A fires 17.01.25

You’ve probably seen the images of the fire in Los Angeles, USA earlier this week. Emily & Darine from 5AI report on it in this week's issue while Tyler from 6DC tells us about which city was the most affected in WW2.
Here's an extract from Imran's (4RN) piece on Algebra:
There are five types of algebra: elementary, abstract, advanced, commutative, and linear. Algebra 1, typically taught in years 7-9, is elementary Algebra. Pre-calculus is a higher level of math. Algebra, invented by Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizm and named after his book Kitab al-Jabr, comes from an Arabic word meaning 'restoration' or 'completion.' Algebra describes relationships between variables and is used in everyday life, such as measuring ingredients for a recipe. It is essential for mathematicians, computer programmers, engineers, data analysts, and maths teachers.
