Diversity Statement
To ensure our Governing Board reflects the community we serve, we collect and review governors’ diversity data. We do not publish this information due to the small size of the board and the risk of identifying individuals.
We have a very active governing body at Nelson, and we work closely with the Headteacher, Miss Forrest, and all the staff at the school. Our role is to:
- Set the school's aims and objectives for the long term.
- Agree and review policies to achieve these aims and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the school's performance both educationally and financially.
- Challenge and support the school leadership team.
Best regards,
Daniel Taylor Chair of Governors Nelson Primary School
“To help ensure that our governing board is reflective of the community we serve, we collect and review our governors' diversity data to help inform discussion and action. We do not currently publish this information online due to the small size of our board and the risk of inadvertently identifying an individual through the publication of their personal data.”
